Holtby Preserves Shutout with Ridiculous Glove Save
Braden Holtby picked up his second shutout of the season last night against the Buffalo Sabres, stopping all 31 shots he faced.
However, it was one save in particular which is drawing a lot of attention.
With only a minute left in regulation, the Sabres found themselves putting tons of pressure on Holtby and the Capitals with an extra attacker. The puck found its way to Evander Kane on the goal line, who had a near wide open net to score on.
Before KaneĀ could capitalize, Holtby stretched across the goal crease doing the splits and made an incredible glove save.
Holtby, and the Capitals, would go on to win the game 2-0. He is now 23-4-1 on the season with a 1.85 goals against average and .935 save percentage.
