Ben Bishop Save of the Year vs Toronto
Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop may have made the save of the year tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Early in the first period, with the game still tied 0-0, Leafs forward Brad Boyes found himself with a wide open net after receiving a nice pass from William Nylander.
What seemed like a sure goal somehow turned into robbery. Bishop, despite being out at the top of his crease, was able to reach his goal stick back and deflect the puck away and keep the game scoreless.
Bishop’s excellent play would continue throughout the night. He and his Lightning teammates would go on to shutout the Maple Leafs with a final score of 3-0.
