Ben Bishop Leaves Game on Stretcher
The worst nightmare for Tampa Bay may have just come true as their star goaltender, Ben Bishop, was injured in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Not only was Bishop injured, but he had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher and one can assume it was very serious.
The injury occurred with just under eight minutes remaining in the first period. After mishandling the puck behind his own net, Bishop scrambled to return to his crease. He slid to make a couple of saves, and came down very awkwardly at one point, resulting in an injury to his left leg.
It’s very likely that this injury will mean the end of Bishop’s 2016 playoff run, but only time will tell for sure.
