Virginia Goalie Gets Ejected After Chugging Beer

In a scene that seemed like it came straight out of a movie, the University of Virginia’s goalie was ejected from a blowout game after leaving his spot in net to chug a beer.

Jake Anderson, who at the time of ejection was holding on to a shutout in a game against Virginia Commonwealth, took the beer from a fan during a stoppage in play. Without hesitation, Anderson chugged the beer, much to the delight of his peers and fans.

While the act may have been a bit classless, Anderson and the University of Virginia play club hockey in Division II of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Hockey is an expensive sport as it is, and club hockey at a Univesity costs a pretty penny as well. We may not approve of the act, but we’ll give Anderson an A for effort in enjoying his time in college and on the ice.

As far as the game, UVA would go on to defeat VCU by a final score of 10-1.
