Maple Leafs Prospect Destroys Canadiens Prospect
In a battle between up and coming prospects from each squad, you can imagine there was some heat between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens. That proved to be the case when the Maple Leafs goalie took out his anger on a Canadiens player who got a little too close.
The Leafs goalie, Antoine Bibeau, was not only dealing with loose pucks on the play, but perhaps a bit of over aggressiveness from Will Bitten who was desperately trying to score a goal. Bitten eventually got too close to Bibeau, taking up too much space in the crease and bumping the goaltender before Bibeau took things into his own hands. Tired of the mess, he threw his glove into Bitten’s face and knocked the Canadien’s forward down with one quick blow.
Will Bitten dropped like a sack of potatoes on the play, and was very slow to get up. He was clearly caught off guard by what had just happened.
Sometimes the goalie just has to take things into his own hands, and Bitten was definitely in the wrong place at the wrong time.
