Bauer Supreme 1S OD1N Goalie Pads
Bauer has been hard at work recently on updating their Supreme line of goal pads. The new pads will take on a familiar look, and will be branded the Bauer Supreme 1S OD1N goalie pads.
These new pads will feature technology from the OD1N pads which were introduced prior to the 2014 Winter Olympics.
The Bauer Supreme 1S OD1N goalie pads will utilize Curv composite technology, as well as their moisture wicking, quick drying, and temperature regulating 37.5 technology. It also appears as though they may have adjusted their sizing to use Small, Medium, Large, etc, rather than specific sizes, which would be an interesting change.
The Supreme 1S OD1N pads have obviously derived some technology from the original OD1N line, which should help make these pads extremely light weight.

Buy the Bauer Supreme 1S OD1N goal pads here. If you just looking for a partial upgrade, you can grab the 1S OD1N catch glove, or the Supreme 1S Blocker.
We now also have a good look at what the Bauer Supreme 1S OD1N pads will look like at the retail level. From the picture below, it appears as though the pads will come in 8 different colorways at the retail level, but they should also be customizable.

These do look nice up close and in my hands. Unfortunately to my understanding, the colors you see will be all that’s available on the market as the graphics are screen-printed on the pads in order to reduce weight.

I just held these and compaired them side by side with with some Brians SZ3 and other top pads.
They are extremely light and have a leg channel strapping similar to Brian’s smart strap. Unfortunately they also feel and look cheap. Especially in the boot, where, as for example, Brian’s uses “primo” which is twice as wear resistant as genpro, Bauer has used very very low quality “pleather” or very low quality genpro. These pads just don’t seem like they would last. Very cool, but almost seem disposable.
